Sometimes, you just have to close your eyes and make the
leap.
So last Sunday, Feb. 29th, Drop Trio hit
Sugarhill studios with a new idea. It was a whim, really. Completly improvised, no plan, no safety net. A leap of faith.
And the session couldn't have gone better. With the help of engineer
John Griffin and resident drum guru
Robbie Parish, we got an amazing sound and put down over 2 hours of material that's totally new territory for us - some avant-gard, some progressive, some ambient, etc. - and of course, plenty of plain old rockin' out Drop Trio style.
Leap.
Pictures from the session will be up soon.
Leap will probably be released sometime in 2004.
